Designation of the Prime Minister

On October 21, 2025, Plenary Sitting was held to designate Prime Minister. After no candidate received a majority of votes in the initial open ballot, a runoff ballot was held, and Ms. TAKAICHI Sanae, Member of the House of Representatives was designated Prime Minister.
