President SEKIGUCHI attends the 80th Nagasaki Peace Ceremony

On August 9, 2025, Mr. SEKIGUCHI Masakazu, President of the House attended the 80th Nagasaki Peace Ceremony held in the Peace Park in the City of Nagasaki.

At the ceremony, the list of the names of atomic bomb victims whose passing away was confirmed in the past year was enshrined at the site. President SEKIGUCHI, the representatives of the bereaved family members, and the atomic bomb survivors offered wreaths. Afterwards, the Bell of Nagasaki was rung at 11:02 a.m., the time when the atomic bomb was dropped, and all the participants offered a minute of the silent prayer.

The day before the ceremony, President SEKIGUCHI visited to the Red Cross Nagasaki Genbaku Hospital.
