President SEKIGUCHI attends the annual Hiroshima Peace Memorial Ceremony

On August 6, 2025, Mr. SEKIGUCHI Masakazu, President of the House attended the annual Hiroshima Peace Memorial Ceremony held in the Peace Memorial Park in the City of Hiroshima.
At the ceremony, the list of the names of atomic bomb victims whose passing away was confirmed in the past year was added to the cenotaph. President SEKIGUCHI, the representatives of the bereaved family members, and the atomic bomb survivors offered wreaths. Afterwards, the Peace Bell was rung at 8:15 a.m., the time when the atomic bomb was dropped, and all the participants offered a minute of the silent prayer.
After the ceremony, President SEKIGUCHI visited residents in the nursing home for atomic bomb survivors “Funairi Mutsumi-en” to comfort them.
